Who?
Simply put, I’m a modder and consumer of adult VNs. In real life, I work in the IT tech industry, although not as a programmer/developer, but rather in a supporting role. I’ve always written code more as a hobby, and Python is just one of the languages I’ve touched upon.
Where?
I’ll narrow it down to say I’m in one of the Scandinavian countries . As for where to find each game, I’m leaving that one up to you. Some game developers have their own profile/page on Patreon, SubscribeStar, and/or Itch.io, as well as a few specialized forum sites. I’ve decided not to link directly to these forum sites from a public-facing forum (this website and my Ko-Fi page) due to the nature of these games. I do link to them on my Discord whenever I release a new update, though.
What?
I mainly make mods for games and visual novels made with Ren’Py under this pseudonym.
Why?
I just enjoy making a mark on the world. As for why Ren’Py specifically, I’ve grown to like it, and it’s a very simple game engine that can be used in very advanced ways. It’s easy to deconstruct
How?
Tools used: Visual Studio Code, with the “Ren’Py Language” extension, plus a few other Python extensions for good measure. I also use a tool called “UnRen” that allows me to Over the years, and after making and updating 20+ mods for Ren’Py, I’ve seen some common elements, which has finally lead me to make a core package to use for new mods. This package allows me to basically use my own little shorthand “scripting language” when modding a game.
Where else?
If you see the “JGNeon” name somewhere with the bearded man avatar, it’s very likely you’ve encountered me. I’m mainly hovering around forums on adult-oriented art.
What else?
If you’re looking to contact me, just go to my Discord and start off in one of the open channels. I’ll get to you eventually. If there’s something I get asked more than once, I might add this info to the website, if I’m okay to share it.
Why a website?
I thought I’d just set up yet another place to present my mods, outside of a regular forum, and the Ko-Fi site didn’t provide me with as many capabilities I hoped it would, from a mod release perspective. Although I prefer WordPress for my regular website needs, I decided I needed something more lightweight and privacy-oriented for this website, and I finally landed on the Hugo platform, hosted on Cloudflare Pages . The Hugo platform generates a static website, which can then be deployed on Cloudflare Pages via GitHub or Gitlab. No cost, other than the effort of keeping things up to date.
